Nine Portuguese higher education design schools interpreted the culture of the places and developed artifacts representative of the local values and the diversity of the area: Serra da Lousã, Serra do Açor, Zêzere and Tejo-Ocreza. In this way, the Portuguese pedagogical potential was revealed and a connection between knowledge and reality was stimulated.
This direct relationship with the people, the landscapes and their culture, was at the heart of the thinking about the identity of the places and was the source of inspirational material for the artifacts presented here.
